I've recently aquired a pre-64 that I might be intrested in restocking... Its been rebarreled and is chamered in 338-06 AI... Anyway will a Classic stock fit the action with a little modification or is it going to be a major undertaking? I think I want to get a Bell and Carlson stock for it, but might aslo go a diffrent route. I don't see that there are many aftermarket stocks out there for the pre 64's...

I'm toying with the same project. What barrel did you use? Does the AI feed OK?
