Empire Rifles
Hello Smiler

I would like to get some info on Empire rifles.

Do they use a 'in-house' action(US made), or do they source these from elsewhere.
How about their barrels. Hammer forged, button or cut-rifled. Who makes them.
How do they rate as a modern M98 action. Are they still as tough, strong & reliable as I've heard? As I'm looking for a workhorse!

Thanks in advance,

Give them a call, and Talk to George ..
in the last 2 years, they have went to a cnc milled 98 action, scaled for the cartridge class.
best bet is to call them, talk to George .. if you like, tell him i sent you

I did hear they were using an in-house action.

How about GMA actions. Can one get a 'barreled action', or do they just sell actions?

I figure if I'm going to do this. I want to do it well & do it once.
So I would rather no actions or parts from Lithuania, Japan etc. USA or German made for me! As I figure if I'm going to spend a fare bit of $$$ I might as well get what I want Wink

Any other suggestions as far as complete rifles or actions that fits the bill. Please mention em.

Thanks again,
