Two actually, for the lock plates on L.C. Smith shotgun...what did you think?

Numrich calls them lock plate retaining screws. I'd rather not make them unless I don't have a choice.

Thanks,

John Farner

Yeah, I called that number and all I heard was laughter.

I just got a set of books from Jack First. I'll call them tomorrow.

Thanks,

I believe both brownell's and Galazan sell them with over sized heads to be fit.

So am I ; How ever I'm in need of a pair of slightly longer metric screws . A 4 mm or 4.5 mm X.5 pitch . X 10-12 mm in length .

They're for grips on a Griffon SA. manufactured 1911 colt . I installed a holographic Aim sight
the stock screws are a little short .
They're a Bastard size because no one I could think of carried them .

As a last resort I'll drill and re tap to an 8-10 X 36 or 32 .

UPDATE: Called Jack First this morning and they make the screws I need. A little pricey but for this full restoration it's worth it, but then again all good screws are pricey.

Is that a quote from Spitzer of New York?

Vapodog,

Might be.

Update #2: Good news, Jack First sent two screw pronto; bad news, they aren't even close to the right size--they're a full size too big. Look like #8 but I need #6 - 38 if I measured correctly. I'll call them first thing Monday and see what they can do.
