I am redoing an old Mauser for a guy and found a beautiful old Kriegoff barrel with the sites and sling swivel etc. Unfortunately the 98 action is a small ring and the barrel was a large. No big deal. Turned it down to .990 and chased the threads and it goes on nice. ONLY about 20 degs PAST registration. I shouldered it forward to come to TDC and now the chamber is about .030-.040 shallow. Anyone got a standard 8x57 reamer I can use by hand to deepen the chamber? I tried the reamer rentals and they either are rented out or not around. With all the 120 + reamers and no 8x57! Appreciate the help if I can beg, borrow or steal [LOL] the tool for a day or so. Glad to loan one of mine in return.

The way to do this is to buy a new one and after using it just sell it on the AR classifieds. It's about the same cost as renting one.
