I inherited an Arg. 1909 Mauser custom rifle chambered in 416 Rem Mag. Beautiful stock, shoots great but it does not feed correctly if more than one round is down. Not good for a DGR! Since it is such a nice rifle, I want to get if fixed. I took it to a competent gunsmith who told me that the magazine box was too narrow on the front end and that new/modified floorplate would be needed to accommodate the proper magazine box. My problem is the gunsmith passed away from cancer before he was able to get to it. Any recommendations on a competent gunsmith for this type of work? | ||
