Problem with a .270

I posted this on the Small Bore site but it probably should have been here. I have a friend who has a .270 made for him On a Mauser action and a Shilen barrel. He doesn't load his own ammo. He fires one round and when he tries to rechamber it hangs up and won't chamber. He has taken it to a couple of gunsmiths but no luck. Could the chamber boring job have been too shallow and left too little headspace?

It kind of sounds like the cartridge is feeding in front of the extractor instead of feeding under it.

Steve,
you are absolutely right. I checked out the rifle yesterday and the round is feeding in front of the extractor and won't chamber. Thanks for the input

And he took it to a couple of "gunsmiths" that couldn't figure that out? I'm definitely in the right business!
