Are there any other Gunsmith, Ammunition Manufacture, Range Insurance companies other than Joseph Chiarello & Co., INC. (AIG). If so please share the information with the rest of us.
Thanks Rustystud

Rick:

My state requires out of state companies to be licensed in my state. I have not found any local companies that insure gunsmithing, or ammunition manufacturing. Yes, Remington's Head quarters is hear and they self insure.

I carry professional liability insurance but my busines is on the same property as my residence. My home owners and personal umbrella carrier is about to drop me because I have my business and residence on the same 10 acers.

You might try contacting your state Insurance Commissioner and asking their advice/assistance.

My experience with insurance companies has been that ANYTHING is insurable...but at a price.

I work in the motion picture business and when we shot Honeymoon in Vegas the company bought Rain-Insurance for the scenes we shot in Kauai...which gets more annual rainfall than any place on the planet. The point being, as long as you are willing to pay the premiums insurance companies are normally more than happy to take your money.

My zoning would prohibit subdividing my residence from my business. I am in R-40 zoning and have a Rural Family Business exemption.

Longshot,

Have you looked at the insurance program offered through NRA? I believe it's managed by Lockton Insurance Agency in Kansas City.

The NRA insurance programs don't cover gunsmiths or ammunition manufactures.
The cover instructors and ranges.
