If anyone owns or has access to an ENCO Combination Mill/Drill machine, please send me a PM. I was given one by my uncle, but it is missing a part. I'm hoping to find one that I can look at and make a duplicate. I have already checked with the manufacturer and no dice. It's a 1980 machine and they have no parts for it.

Jeffe - I am going only by a crude Chinese exploded diagram: The top end of the gear "rack" is held to the column by a "cap" that sits atop the column and apparently has a tapered recess to wedge the tapered end of the rack tight to the column. The "cap" is missing. The current ENCO models have a different column diameter, so I may have to have something made.
