Hello all,

I just wanted to give two BIG thumbs up to Timney Triggers. Timney makes a trigger spring kit for the Browning A-Bolt to reduce trigger pull. Now I know the A-Bolt gets trash talked a lot here on AR.....although I'm not sure why. I own an A-Bolt Composite Stalker in .300 WSM (which shoots about 1" at 200 yards) and an A-Bolt Varmint Stalker in .223 WSSM (hasn't been shot much at all). My dad also owns a Composite Stalker in .300 WSM. So we ordered 3 of the trigger spring kits for our rifles. I just got done replacing all the springs and all I can say is WOW!!

With the factory spring, the triggers on my rifles were breaking at an average of about 4 lbs. 3 oz (measured with my Lyman Trigger Pull Gauge). Since I replaced the springs with the Timney springs.....the triggers are breaking at an average of about 1 lb. 4.5 oz. with absolutely NO creep whatsoever!! Big Grin

My dad and I are definitely happy campers. You can buy the Timney spring kits for $25. Here's the link to their website to all that may be interested: A-Bolt spring kit.

I'm going to be sighting in the .223 this afternoon and then we're headed to South Louisiana for a coyote hunt on a friend's ranch for the weekend. I'll be sure to report back.....hopefully with pictures from a successful hunt. I can't wait to see how well she shoots!! God bless.
