I did the drive into redmond and sold my FN Roberts rebored to 25,06, back to the guy I bought it from, and had a nice time yakin with him, then I went to my smith and put the money Down on a custom Roberts. Its a early springfield
with a new 24 inch douglas barrel Timney trigger and an unusual piece of walnut that is in a classic shape. I am going to have my smith do a couple things,s Blue a new striker and change that out, (he cut the mushroom off and I like the mushroom. I will pick it up next saterday, unless somthing come up. Its not checkerd yet and sooner or later it will need that. The wood is very colerfull and the stock is real nicly shaped. When its in my hands I will send pics to anyone interested.
this rifle belonged to my smith himself for a long time as a 6.5,X57.. I kind of like that, he has loaded for and shot this rifle and tuned the trigger and all real well.
can't wait to shoot it !
