I have a Mexican Mauser marked:

Fabrica National De Armus De Mexico 1931. Been dragging it around for 30 years. Now I can't find the bolt.

Anyone know anything about this small ring? Where can I get a bolt and custom bottom metal?

Custom bottom metal is tough. The inexpensive way used to be order one from Gun Parts (Numrich) for a Swede Mauser (same length). With a little modification (in some cases none) these fit just fine. There is also the custom route, Blackburn and Sunny Hill come to mind. These will start around $400. Any intermediate length, small ring 98 bolt "should" fit. There are a great many little differances that can crop up, and head space will have to be adjusted (unless you're very lucky). I would again try Numrich, or perhaps Western Gun Parts here in Edmonton (no, I have no affiliation)length. I'm sure if you do a search on this site (or just Google it) many more Mauser parts sources will turn up. Also check Ebay. - Dan

Oh, if you find the little mexican bolt, with a cocking piece like a krag or springfield, just go ahead and buy it. I'll take it off your hands, as it wont work in anything in the world

<jeffe mind trick>
you will send me your '36 bolt
