I have just purchased a beauty Ruger 77 in 22 Hornet and as expected the trigger is evrything but good; is there any possibility to tune it using its standard screws?.
Thanks for any help.

Is this the old M77R with the safety on the rear tang, or a M77MKII?
The older rugers had adjustable triggers the new ones need some work or a Timney Trigger

I believe that the Ruger 77's in 22 Hornet are all the new models. The triggers can be reworked, but for the time and effort involved, you're better off getting a Timney or Moyers and swapping it out. - Dan

I got a SpecTech adjustable trigger and Volquartsen target sear from Brownell's for mine. Well worth the investment.
I also glass bedded the action and first 2" of barrel, and floated the rest of the barrel. Well worth the time! Good luck with your Ruger.
Regards, George
