Anyone out there know about Hi-Standard 22 pistols randomly shooting full auto. I have a Supermatic Citation that was my Dads old NRA match gun. I took it to the range last week and fired 2 rounds in it and on the third pull of the trigger it shot 3 rounds on its own then went back to normal semi auto mode??? I shot the rest of the mag (5 more rounds) with out a problem. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.... Jay

Howdy Deputy, yep, my dad had a sport King that zipped clip after clip with one trigger pull. The gunsmith replaced the sear spring and no problems.....until it was stolen from his house. Later, Gary

Sorry about your loss Gary, I hate thieves! [Mad] I will try Brownells they have everything under the sun for stock Hi-Standard parts. Thanks for the help! Jay

DEPUTY 450--

Either the sear/hammer searing surface is the wrong geometry or the firing pin is hanging up to the front. You can tell which it is by looking at the fired case. If the head is ballooned it's a stuck firing pin.
