On a pillar bedded stock how tight should the screws be? Will different amounts of tork affect accuaracy?

I thought the purpose of pillar bedding was to aleviate screw tightening issues, but I have read otherwise.

One grunt tight. Ive seen more problems caused by over tightening screws. Snug up the screws and go shoot it.

I run 65 inch pounds on enything using pillars. As long as the torques are consistent, and the action mates up with the stock correctly it shouldn't be a problem.

Yes it's cocked, and it has bullets too!!!

Torque actions screws (1/4") to 40 inch/pounds.That is about all a normal human can twist, using two hands on a good screw driver.
