AR 7.62x39 pistol cycling issues
If you encounter an above firearm and there is an issue with it cycling, keep reading. AR pistols designed for this cartridge were designed to cycle using an arm brace. Without the brace, you can experience a situation similar to short cycling. The spent round ejects, but the bolt is not driven back far enough to pick up the feeding round. This can lead you down the road of trying weaker action springs or lighter buffers. The real culprit is lack of resistance to recoil, much like limp wristing a recoil operated handgun. The cure requires a rigid hold to resist rearward movement during recoil. Much like the old 1911 .45 hold of days past.
