I just bought a Remington LSS and would like to get rid of the shiney finish. Should I use a fine steel wool, or is there a better way?

We beat this horse every few months. Here is a link to the last discussion. Bottomline steel wool will work but best way is to replace. https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/...=298103595#298103595 As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Thanks Ramrod, I did a search but didn't come up with a post. I had the experience with a BDL, the shine comes back. I have a couple of new Winchesters, ones a classic the others a featherweight. The finish always looks dry and unprotected on both stocks. Is there anything I can use to seal or put an oil finish on these stocks?

I'm sure there is some type of oil finish soaked in the wood instead of the BDL sprayed on the wood. I would simply wax the heck out of it with a good paste wax.. As usual just my $.02 Paul K
