I just got an encore rifle in 308 Win. Although I bought a Weaver base, I've heard they aren't made of the strongest aluminum. I like the Weaver style bases, but would like something stronger. I'm mounting a 3x9 x 40MM scope.

Any thoughts on bases or rings? I want something that works well, but don't want to spend a fortune.

I/We have 3 Encores and 5 barrels, total.

They all have Weaver bases and medium rings, except my Pro-Hunter in 280 Rem, it has a Warne base and medium Warne rings.
