I purchased this rifle better than a year ago but have yet to hunt with it due to weight. My question, has anyone lightened this stock by drilling a series of holes to lighten such a stock. Don’t see the need to purchase another stock. This rifle is a true minute of angle and less with my hand loads. Just throwing this out for discussion. Thanks for the input. MTG

You CAN take off some weight from the stock, Wood...perhaps 4 oz, but the real dense stuff is..Of course, metal

Yes of course as it is a 26” heavy bbl. But, any weight would help. Thanks. MTG
