Dear all

I have attempted to disassemble the bolt on my 75 but turned it the wrong way (anti-clockwise if the bolt shroud is nearest your body) and it has effectively locked. I can't seem to rotate it back to the original position.

Any help very appreciated.

Many thanks

JB

Did you simply uncock it? I don't have a 75 bolt to look at but if you simply turn a Mauser bolt counter clockwise the cocking piece will simply slide back down the ramp. If it has then you will either need to pull the cocking piece to the rear and rotate the shroud clockwise. Normally the cocking piece (end of the firing pin) etc will need to be locked in the cocked position to allow you to take the bolt apart. Many have a small hole on the cocking piece that is exposed when cocked. You slip a pin through the hole or some require you to slip a dime or penny between the cocking piece and shroud.

As usual just my $.02

Many thanks Paul

Yes you have put me on the right track and I've now sorted it.

It was a case of technique rather than brute force mind.

Thanks again
