Was wondering if the 91 Mauser could fitted with a two position side swing safety. I read in Kuhnhausen’s book where a 93 Mauser cocking piece assembly can be fitted to the 91 Mauser.
Would that be a better option with the side swing safety?

As a side note, I have a couple of the steel levers similar to the Mark II type that Dayton makes that are for the Argentine 1891. Send me an email if you would be interested in one of those.

As to the conversion, yes, you can, however it is not as simple as swapping parts. A Wisner or Chapman style safety can be made to work, but it requires a different plunger.
