I have a MKX 270 barreled action. I was going to make it into a loaner rifle. Thought I might try the Hogue stock. Anyone use one? Satisfaction? Problems? Which style the pillar or full bed? Do you feel the full bed is worth the extra $$? Guess I ran out of question. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Yes they are great stocks, I own 3. I would not spend the extra $$$ for the full block version. You might have to do a little dremmel work for the MK X safety but you will like the stock!

I think they are a great stock too. I have one of the full bedded versions, but only because I was builing a varmint rifle. I'd use the regular version for a 270 too. for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

Ditto everthing above. The hold and point well for me, too. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

Thanks guys. The pillar bed was the way I was leaning. Midway has them for around $104 plus shipping. Anyone have a lead on a cheaper supplier? As usual just my $.02 Paul K

if you havent already ordered, sportsman wharehouse has them 89.00, cheaper than dirt and natches shooting supply.. for me, they point nice and i like the feel of the material, not to mention that they seem to tame the recoil a little khh

Thanks. I was at the local Gun store and they were close out for Rem at $69. I had it on my wishlist on Midway. Going to let the wife do it for Fathers Day. Think I'll check out Sportsman. I see no online catelog. Not a store around Houston. Thanks. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

I have had good success with the Houge overmold stock With just the pillars in ... I had one on a 338 then I put it on a 458 and it worked good for shooting...It soaked up the recoil well also.. .If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....
