AllenBoselyGMA Standard Magnum Action actual weight?
The GMA web site lists the weight of their
Standard Magnum Action, as 3 lbs 7 oz.
Is that pretty realistic? Or is it a little bit optimistic?
If optimistic, what is the real world weight?

jjsWell it your lucky day, mine too as I just recieved my GMA Standard Magnum action today.
Only problem, my scales are not that great but it looks like 3lbs 7 oz. is a good estimate based on what I just measured the wieght to be.
What are you looking at building? Ralph Martini is building my 404 Jeffery and hopefully I will take delivery by August!

DavidCAllen,
As you stated the brochure section of the GMA website has the specs for each action they produce.....why do you doubt it?
Just wondering?

AllenBoselyThanks jjs, not 100% sure yet.
But I am thinking of using one to build a pre-war style H&H in 404 Express as they called the 404 Jeffery.Using a Single Bridge version.
DavidC, I saw a post on AR here somewhere that it was mentioned that the GMA actions were very heavy. Someone listed the weight as more than 3 lbs 7 oz.
It was said it was the Standard Magnum Action.
I was hoping they were mistaken on the model of
GMA Action.
Just wanting to verify the catalog specs.
Cheers, Allen
