I have moved the rear sight to the right and removed the set screw in the sight. Which direction (when looking from the rear sigh to the muzzel) do I punch the sight to remove it. I've tried gently both ways and no luck. All help appreciated. Mike

They are usually installed from the right, so remove to the left. You may have to be more aggressive, or use a bigger hammer.
