Why not spend an equal amount of money and have a precision action built by the likes of Nesika Bay? They make a fabulous Hunter action and can do just about anything to it that you would want. They claim a delivery time of 60 days. Might even have one on the shelf. Check 'em out...

By the time one starts spending on truing, sleeving, new bolt etc,, It may just be better to sell your rem and buy a precision built from scratch Surgeon.

Just $776! That's a freakin' steal. Looked at their specs-- appears only to be had in a right-bolt, right-port set-up. We leftites get porked, again...

That Surgeon is a short action.
The long action with flat bottom is more money.

Go to the Surgeon action spec sheet, and you will see both RSR and RLR.
