I guess this is where to ask my question. I have a set ( actually ) 2 sets for my .404 Jeffrey. I just turn the levers hand tight and it hits just like I never took them off. Do any of you turn the lever all the way so they cant go any farther? Im going to keep doing how I do it because they are consistant and dont need a rezero. I was just wondering what you pros do. I'm no pro, but I use the leupold qrw's when I can get them.... or just plain ol' weaver rings too... I took an inch/ounce screwdriver torque wrench and did a little testing...measured the amount of twist I put on the big knob style weaver rings and compared it to the qrw's levers...(the levers have a small head torx screw in them, remember).... it was within a few ounces of torque....I like the looks of the qrw's but the old weavers' come back to zero for me too...... go big or go home ........ Also note....as long as you have installed them with the lever pointing towards the muzzle they will never back off from recoil ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment

Use care in loosening the levers on the QR rings. They get very tight after shooting despite only finger tightening when installed. I tapped using a screwdriver handle and the lever broke off. Now I use padded pliers to gradually loosen the levers.

Hand tight is all I ever do. Never had an issue. Only used them on smaller calibers though. My 270 win shoots under moa in the same spot every time and I take off the scope to clean every year after deer season. Don

I've got a set on a Rem 700 Mtn Rifle in .280. I tighten so they are just past snug. Always return to same POI and have never come loose.
