I have a Sako hunter in 223 cal which shoots very well even with a very heavy trigger pull weight. Would like to lighten this trigger pull weight if possible but need advise and instructions. Thanks, Chief

Dear Chief: Go to the Sako web page, and look up your rifle model. There are PDF downloable owner's manuals for each rifle. The model specific manual will explain how to adjust your trigger. I had the same question last week, after I bought an older L579 Sako. Sincerely, Chris Bemis

Sako triggers have 2 screws with lock nuts. The front screw is where the trigger spring is located. If you back this screw off, you reduce the pull weight. Be very careful when adjusting this. This also reduces the amount of spring tension, which is the glue, that holds everything together when the gun is cocked. The rear screw adjusts the sear engagement. It is used to adjust creep. If you reduce this too much, it WILL interfere with the operation of the safety. _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine.
