Is there anything I can do short of painting them to make them ....... not stainless? Im really not a fan of a silver barrel on a hunting rig, but I do like the longer life of stainless. Can I parkeretize (sp?) them? Thanks.

Bead blast it to take off the shine. Here's my stainless MRC action and stainless Krieger barrel.

Sometimes if you bead blast the barreled action and run it through a regular hot bath bluing solution, it will come out a flat grey color which can look pretty cool.

I beadblasted both my stainless barrel and receiver and used flat black teflon.

There are a number of things to do to it. Black oxide is available as is Rogard. Try "Fit For Duty" also.

I personally like a stainless barrel for a number of reasons, however I do "blacken" them.
