A bit of trivia, Bob Emmons was a professional photographer as well as stockmaker. He took many of the photos in Monte Kennedy's book. I spent an interesting afternoon with him at the 1979 NRA convention in San Antonio in Ken Jantz' booth. He was very opinionated and, if I say so, irrascible. Incredibly talented. He was very free with information and tips for an amateur like me. I hope someone would post a picture of the 1917 Enfield that he built for the American Custom Gunsmiths Guild. Fabulous.

I have two Krags stocked by Emmons. One is in American walnut, workmanship excellent, checkering very fine, but crudely shaped. Stated to be one of his first stocks. Second is maple, excellent in every respect. Sorry, no pics, am a digital ignoramus.
