Hope I post this on right forum. I have a Rem. 700 BDL in 30 06, it was a gift from my father. The gun has been sitting in gun safe for over 20 years as I collected other guns for specific uses and in turn it got put in the back of safe. I would like to cut barrel down carbine lenght & re-stock it with a laminated mannlicher style stock. I think would make a great black bear rig. Any thoughts on a good gunsmith to do the job? Thanks | ||

David Welcome to AR. You came to the right place. You may get more responses if you give your location. People in your neck of the woods could chime in then. I’m sure most any decent smith could do the barrel but I don’t have a clue where you could get a laminated Mannlicher stock. Since you asked I’ll go ahead and give my obligatory recommendation of David Christman for the barrel work. He is more than capable of doing the stock work as well. His contact info is; David Christman 216 Rundell Loop rd. Delhi LA. 71232 (318) 878-1395 Shawn Have you cycled your PF upside down lately?????
