I have known Nina for a few years, we both ended up getting married about the same time. She's really funny, speaks great English and is among the top engravers in the world.

She was trained at both Ferlach and Suhl, worked for AYA in Spain, and Beretta.

She does about every kind of engraving that you can imagine from the little dot photograph stuff, to what the trade calls plastic (or carved type engraving).

I thought I'd give her a little promotion since someone was talking about their engraver being full up.

Send her an email and talk to her, she can receive guns from America for engraving and ship them back.

Prices here are cheap compared to America. Quality is much higher.

To be honest it's the first I've heard of her Aaron. But I don't get out much and engraving is specialty all unto it's own. lol

But that's the problem with our industry. It's so small and out on the fringe that our Rock Stars are virtual unknowns to 99.9999999% of the rest of the population.

When I was a kid. I had the stick. I had the rock. And I had the mud puddle. I am as adept with them today, as I was back then. Lets see today's kids say that about their IPods, IPads and XBoxes in 45 years!

What does it cost in terms of time, money and bureaucratic hassle to ship a gun to Germany? Can't be that simple.

Beautiful work! Like Aaron, I'm not sure about the equivocalness of the post. There's always someone better and presumably that someone could reside in North America.

From Canada, pretty simple. From the USA probably not so much. LOL

She is the best I know.

That is what I said. Not very absolute or equivocal.

Who is the best engraver you know?

DPCD, ask her. She Sprechen sie Englisch gutte, ja? I asked about getting a Blaser K95 engraved for my father a few years ago. She said fill out the temp export permit for work, and make copies of your docs and enclose a copy. Wire her a deposit, and when she is done she will send it back. I think a blank receiver is a pretty easy thing to ship. Whole gun would take some work.

Aaron you are the best double rifle making gun kid in Texas that I know.

And Butch Searcy is the best one in Boron, California (and probably the entire Western USA).

Who is the best gun maker in the world? I would say someone who is only a 1-3 man show but makes 3 or 4 very different products like Oswald Prinz. Sure a big company that has 10 or more workers can do a lot bigger scale, and get more intricate than someone like Prinz. Maybe Peter Hofer for small companies? But individual gun makers? Who is the best?

I don't disagree at all. I believe the engraver I use is the best that I know, which is why I use him (Mark Swanson out of Prescott, AZ). I completely understand why she's the best that you know and why everyone probably uses the engraver or builder that they believe is the best. Sorry my patriotic gene flared up when I read "prices are cheap compared to America. Quality is much higher". Smiler
