I think that he missed a zero. .008" is quite deep...more likely, .0008" deep. Roger Kehr Kehr Engraving Company (360)456-0831

.2mm is close to .008" so sounds like more than a typo. Don

.008 inches is equal to 0.2032 millimeters. .0008 inches is equal to 0.02032 millimeters. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Seems pretty clear - 0.008" (0.2mm) depth. My electronic converter notes 0.2mm = 0.00787" which is basically the standard thickness of two pieces of 20# bond paper (0.004") held together - not an extreme depth. Jim "Life's hard; it's harder if you're stupid" John Wayne

Jim, The point that I'm trying to make is that .004 is a lot with engraving. High relief engraving is probably cut to a depth of .010" - .015". I wouldn't know how to measure the depth of bulino engraving, but a rough guess would be .0005". Roger Kehr Kehr Engraving Company (360)456-0831
