Anybody know what the threads are on these actions? I'm assuming it's a metric pitch. Thanks, Joe.

Something in the back of my head says M26x2, but I'm not sure... IIRC, there was a discussion on this very board not long ago - try the archives. -- Mats

I think it is 27mm x2mm, I have one in the vault and will check and post later.

Thanks, John. Brownells lists it as "28x2sp3" Now I need to dig out my change gears and see if the lathe can cut it. Also, I put together a flush system using your photos and it worked great. Beats the wipe and dip deal in every way. Thanks again, Joe.

You will need a 127 tooth transpose gear to cut metric threads on a American pitch lead screw. Check the gear chart on your lathe. What make & size is your lathe? I had to cut metric threads for 2 barrels last week. Yep, the muzzle flush coolant system is great, I had to chamber 5 barrels last week. Would have been a pain with the old wipe & brush method! Plus you get a much better finish to the chamber. If you use water soluble oil, mix it very heavy. [This message has been edited by John Ricks (edited 07-06-2001).]
