Hey folks,

Just picked up an action. Paid $620 for it new directly from Brownells. It would be a better deal to buy a whole rifle instead. Anyway, everything is blued except for the receiver. Enjoy some pictures of it!

Mingo - did this come with the bent extractor (like your earlier rifle) ? Whatcha gonna build from this one? I agree, buying the entire rifle is a great deal, I can buy in 416 rigby for $655 -- may need a spare for future projects [Big Grin] KMule

Yes, it did come with a bent extractor just like the complete rifle. The caliber will probably be a 510/460 Weatherby of some sort. Thanks.

Ming,
you musted has missed my rant on the action price vs the gunbroker price for the complete gun. In fact, if you bought an action, made it into 416 with a decent stock, you would be ~400 MORE into the gun than buying the whole gun...

sigh..

(getting off soap box)

jeffe,

I hear you my friend. I did realize the whole rifle was a better deal but I did intentionally buy this action anyway just to start with something different. Both my gunsmith and I were having trouble taking the barrel off of my other two CZ 550 Magnum rifles so I was a little hestitant to start with another complete rifle. Thanks.
