I have a Rem M700 short action that I am dying to get made into something like this. I am also thinking of doin something like the new Rem 7 Ultra SM. Does anyone out there know of any smith who has doen work like this and could make it work in the short 700?

Try Mike Bryant...he's at www.benchrest.com and look under the "gunsmith" section on the left. I know he fits the Lazzeroni line of cartridges into a Model 700 and that's fatter than either the WSM or RSUM line.
