I was looking around to see what a person was looking at to get into an octagon barrel. Saw that McGowan (who's barrels I think people have said are good) also offers a Dodecagon. was wondering if anybody had tried it out, how it looks on a gun.

Match Grade Machine is making contender and encore barrels with triangle and dodecagon profiles as well as tapered octagon etc. I seem to have a personal preference for round or tapered octagon but I'm not sure why.

They had an 1885 on display (McGowen) at Shot in Orlando two years ago - I thought it was stunning.

I believe it is the same rifle they've got pictured on their home page now.

I seem to think I saw a Rolling Block at Badger with a dodecagon as well.
