Wellll...they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I wouldn't care to be holdin' that one myself. It could be the greatest metalworking since pockets on pants, but I can't go for that. The style is a little too much for me. The part I especially like tho...it is made as a "drop in". NO MODIFICATIONS TO YOUR RECIEVER REQUIRED!! Now that technology would be worth having. A bolt guaranteed to headspace in any Mauser/Mauser style action out there! I guess he could be considered correct since the chasing of headspace would require mods to the barrel Smiler

Isn't that refered to as "Junk Art"? They should have welded two matching knobs on that silly ass bolt handle and a least made them look like a pair of dice... Big Grin

The scary part is that someone, somewhere thought that was a good idea.

Jim, That's a good one. I got so scared by the picture that I couldn't bring myself to read the ad, lol.

There was a picture going around a couple of years ago of an actual 1/2" bolt welded on to the bolt body. It was also spray painted.

I think that I'd almost rather have that than that thing on E Bay.

I remember one like that. It was on a 22 single shot if I remember right.

I don't know how to post a picture directly from ebay but take a look at the trigger guard that goes with the aforementioned bolt. I don't know if it is a pseudo copy of the brass knuckeled WW1 trench knife, some sort of wire cutters or what???

I don't know why the guy just didn't stick a "Hurst" shifter knob on this bolt and be done with it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7237..._IT#ebayphotohosting

Even a tap handle from a beer keg would have looked better. What next???

I bought a bunch of Mauser “beater-bolts†awhile back so I could practice on them. One of them is pretty funny, and makes the ones shown here look like like Tom Burgess did them!

It is literally a flat piece of steel held on with a big glob of weld. No cocking surface, no attempt to shape, nothing.

Well, nothing like a multi-purpose trigger guard. You could saw firewood with that thing. Roll Eyes

I suppose you could call that "Chopper" style. All it needs is a skull emblem welded to the floorplate.

Had a Hurst 4 speed and shifter in a 65 GTO. Did
look better than that. Did not know they still
made them. They still make ugly bolts though.

He's selling jewelled floorplates too. He actually got over 20 bucks for the last one. I think I might have found a new way to turn a 50 cent floorplate into quick cash.

I suppose his next version will be a naked lady
bolt to go with the chromed naked lady on your
mud flaps. The bad part of this really is that
there is some jerk out there that will actually
buy this! I guess if people will pay thousands for a Honda Element car then ugly bolts will sell
also.
