Dear Sirs:

I have just adquired a rifle cal. 375H&H on a Zastava action (I think It is the same than Mauser Mark X), but the safety system is not nice, and I would like to change it to a system that cock the firing pin (a 3-position safety or a similar system). Does anybody know a system to do it?

Any of the aftermarket safeties for 98 Mausers will work on a Mark X. The 3-position models come with a new shroud (Gentry, Wisner, Dakota, etc.). The 2-position kits require a shroud from a true 98 Mauser. Brownell's carries several of both types.

I have a Gentry on mine and it works great. I had it installed by Gentry's shop, though -- which would probably be a bit of a process from Spain.

I do conversions to the original Mauser sleeve; to a two position safety that locks the firing pin, using PM kits. I also have one or two of the Dakota three position assemblies in the shop. Call or email me if you are interested.
