These are octagon barrel blanks for centerfire being sold by Midway.

Has anyone used one or heard anything good or bad about them?

Is there another company selling octagon blanks for centerfire (not BPCR)?

Thanks, Rojelio

I have a Wind river barrel. I haven't got the rifle finished yet though. So I can't help you out on whether it is any good. Give me 6 months. Big Grin

You might give them a call here is a link to their website. Wind River Rifles

Thanks for the replies.

In the listing description, it states that it has a 2" long round shank of up to 1.2" in diameter.

Was this the case with your barrels?

If it does, how does it transform from octagon to round? ie suddenly or tapered/

I tried to call, but, I guess they shut down for the day already.

Thanks again, Rojelio

This picture is not very good but maybe it will answer your question.

I think they have different profiles also that may look different. I would definitely wait till I could get a hold of them before deciding.
