Help with H&R 649 Barrel Removal

Gents -

The barrel seems to be pinned, as shown in the photo:

Note the small triangular stake marks that are on the right end of the pin only.

This end is also a larger diameter than the other end, so am I correct in thinking that I should "simply" be able to drive the pin out from the left (smaller) side?

I have given it a few whacks with a drift to no avail... Do I need to drill the stakes out, or is there another trick I don't know about?

Thanks Bill. I was naturally apprehensive about that approach, but the Bigger FH did the trick with no apparent adversities! dancing

Now to proceed with pulling the barrel so I can drill & tap the stripped extractor rod mounting hole... boohoo
