Mine is the Mark V Japanese version.

Problem is that it feeds factory ammo fine with the 3.56 OAL however when I feed it reloads that are 3.58 (both are 180 gr) it tends to kick the first shell up when I attempt to chamber it forcing the second shell up and underneath. I am sure the magazine is 3.60 so I do not think that is the issue.

Any ideas before it is off to the gunsmith for analysis/fix? Thanks.

Check this: See if the magazine is flush between the bottom of the reciever and floor plate. Also check there are 2 tabs, I think, on the mag box that sometimes get bent flat which makes the second round try to follow the first. They should be bent up slightly. Has the rifle been recently bedded or a new stock installed?
