I have been having some real problems with a Miroku MK70 shotgun and went yesteday to have the fit checked. The result was that the gun turned out to be too short. (by 1 1/2 inches!) I would like to look into the possibility of replacing the stock and fore-end and would welcome any advice from others who have been down the same road. I would not ship the gun anywhere so I would want to buy from someone who produces "factory fit" stocks to order. I don't want to lengthen the existing stock, as that can look really ugly. I would rather fit a new, better looking, piece of wood with matching fore-end. This gun is not unusually short. I just have unusual measurements - so getting any gun off the shelf is not really an option. Suggestions please! Patrick

Since you are unwilling to ship the gun to a good stock maker you are really limiting your self on your fitment issues. About the only couple of places I can think of are Boyd’s and Great American Gunstock Company. I’m not sure of the difference these guns have vs. the Superpose if any, but these two companies are going to have the closest things to what you want. Shawn Have you cycled your PF upside down lately????? God Bless http://www.davidchristmangunmaker.com/ http://i257.photobucket.com/al...wnhound/f66262d4.jpg

You may be SOL to find someone who will make a custom, finished stock for a Miroku without having the gun in hand to fit it to. Even the factory Beretta replacement wood sets have to be fitted to the individual gun. You would have a better chance if it was a Citori or a Beretta. Thanks for the information. I had already found Boyds and sent them a mail. As the Miroku is identical to a Browning I would hope it is not more difficult to sort out than a Beretta. These things certainly appear to be CNC machined, and I doubt if there is much difference between any of the modern guns.
