What can the 458 win. be made into by rechambering, keeping the same action. what would be your choice? Thanks

I turned my Ruger #1H in .458 into a .460 Weatherby, easy rechamber if you have a single shot.

If it's a long magnum bolt action (like CZ), the simplest is .458 Lott. The reamer just works on the throat, there is no headspace issue, and the bolt face, ramp and everything else are untouched. Any job you may have to do on the magazine (often there is none) is simple as well, since it is only an issue of length.

The lot and if you have a single or cz you could go a .450 Rigby, .460 W, .45 Lapua even.

There is also the 450 G&A, a 404 shortened to 2.5" and necked up, and the 460 G&A, full length 404 necked up. Oh, and there is also a 2.5" 460 Whetherby varient.
