Was wondering if anyone out there has one of these and if they use it, like it or hate it? Its the peep sight that mounts using the rear integral dovetail on the receiver... Is there too much eye relief? How's the aperture? TIA

I have one on my .45-70 No.1. See link to see a picture of it

It is not the easiest in the world to adjust, kind of a hit and miss type of deal with the windage, elevation is marked, but it is very secure and holds it's zero once set. You should be able to remove it and reinstall it without loss of zero, but I have not verified that yet. Well worth the $90 or so and it comes with two apertures, but I mainly just use the aperture holder as a ghost ring.

At the 12:00 position in the picture there looks to be another screw of some sort on the sight, this is actually the No. 1's rib screw and just looks like it is part of the sight.

Ditto Big Bore. I use one on a Ruger No.1 in 416 Rigby. The fold down Ruger rear sights on the M77 and No.1 are just begging for the NECG receiver sight. Nice gadget.

Now, who makes one that will go on a Weaver-style steel base like the Leupold QRW? BTW, Leupold does have new and improved QRW rings going for it.

Would that be Talley or Ashley Outdoors to fit on a Weaver-style base?

Good News RAB;
NECG is now making one that fits Weaver bases. They have been advertising it in Gun List the last three or four issues but I am not sure if it is on their web page yet Price is $80 + S&H. Looks very similar to the Ruger sight, but fits the Weaver base of course.

Like the Talley, there is no way that it could not work, its solid and fixed for the most part and once adjusted has to return to zero. I know the Talley peep will return to absolute zero every time.
