I have a 54 caliber CVA ML with a 1" X 32" barrel. I want to give it to my 11yr old Great Grandson but he is not a very big boy and I would like to lighten it up some. It's a half stock with the end of the stock at the 14" mark on the barrel. I am thinking of transition it from octagon to round at this point to 7/8". I would then taper it from 7/8" to 3/4" at 28" where it would be cut and crowned. I was also thinking of designing a one piece hooded front sight and a ferrel on the bottom to slip over the end of the barrel. Any Ideas? Kenny

I was going to suggest the solution you already have. One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know. - Groucho Marx

loud-n-boomer I did it and it sure makes a difference in how it feels. I am anxious to get a sight on it and get it finished up for Christmas. Kenny
