Benellli M1 Reciever, filling holes...
Was able to pick up a cheap HK M1 this weekend. In alright shape, except the owner had it tapped for a mount of some sort, so there are around 6 screw holes in it. Since this is a cast receiver, is there a way to fill the holes vs putting screws in them?

Thanks.

You can tig weld to what appears to be cast aluminum?

I had to laugh, I went to take the barrel off and it wouldn't come. Hmmm, you betcha, the guy had put too long of screws in. I was relieved to see that the actually barrel hadn't been drilled into though.

Oh well, what do you expect for $300. Other than that, not bad shape for a 15 year old gun.
