What thread size are the Lee-Enfield buttstock bolts threaded for? And what standard size could I re-tap the hole for? I have a sporter I'll be restocking soon and would like to replace the stripped bolt in my No. 4 Mk 1 with something hex-headed for easier takedown.

I do not have a pitch gauge to measure this with and was hoping one of you gun guys would know.

Thanks,

Jason

Jason,

Be aware that my Lee-Enfield was made in the USA by Savage, whether or not the thread sizes are different between mine and the ones made elsewhere I don’t know.
