Rem 700 feeding problem...

During my last hunt, my R 700 338 Win Mag developed a feeding problem.

Seems that if I only put one shell in teh magazine it works fine, but if I put two, and especially if I put three in there, when I open the bolt, at least two of them pop right out and are not held in place by the rails.

Maybe the rails are worn, or what would anyone suggest?

It sounds like the walls of the magazine box are too close together. I'd bet the floorplate is not assembled correctly and is pinching the box together.

The top portion of the box controls the feeding. IF the rails have been altered at all you probably have a ruined action.

I would suspect the magazine box as the culprit also.

The rails have anot been altered, but I will take it apart tonight and see if the magazine box is goofy somehow.

Thanks
