in the process of pillar bedding this rifle i managed to get some devcon 10110 steel putty on the top of the stock near the recoil pad. 2 small spots,i lightly sanded it off and it left 2 light spots about the size of a nickel and a quarter. it is a blond colored stock. does anyone know of something i can use to touch it up and have a closer color match to the original finish. thankyou for any ideas.

If it has no stain I use Superglue for those small areas. Wipe it on and then sand with 600# wet & dry and water and then after I build up a couple of coats I lightly buff it to match the gloss. Superglue cures solid in minutes. Practice on something else first. If you don't like what you see, don't use it. When I was a kid. I had the stick. I had the rock. And I had the mud puddle. I am as adept with them today, as I was back then. Lets see today's kids say that about their IPods, IPads and XBoxes in 45 years! Rod Henrickson
