ive got a t/c contender barrel its a 10'' 7tcu the problem i have is i bought it used and and i shoot it and i went to load some 130 gr bthp sierra mk and i started loading to find the depth were the bullet would stop touching the rifling. i keep seating the bullet deeper and it still went in hard i found the bullet was getting scratched on the bottom of the chamber side and it was leaving shavings in the barrel (were the throat starts).i have a nother barrel thats identical exept its got a older style front sight and all igot to do is set the bullet in the case enuff to hold it and it dont leave any kind of marks. does this sound like a of center chamber,do you think i should see if t/c will fix it? thanks alot jason
I have a 7mm TCU that has no problem with 140 grain win. ballistic silver-tips seated way out to where they are just held firmly enough. Call T/C at 1-800-243-4570.
