I have done a lot of projects based on the 98 Mauser but nothing on the Mexican. A little rundown please. I have a 1931 Mexican, so marked and another that has been surface ground. I also have what I think is the Knurled cocking piece that came separately. What action did that fit on and did they all take the 98 bolt shroud, sping and firing pin? One of these actions has the two vent holes in the left side the other does not. TYhinking of offering them for sale, neither has bottom metal. The one with the vents is the so-called model 1936, sans vents is the 1910. they will take a std 98 shroud but FP and spring are unique to the Mexican actions. The nose of the CP is also different but you can easily modify a std 98 to work. The bolts & extractors are also unique to the Mexican Actions. Though, others can be made to work. One of the extractors has a bevel on on side of the hook, would that be it? Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

Jim...if you want to sell the knurled cocking piece pls PM. The extractor is much shorter at the front...if you do a side by side with a 98 it's much different. Any sources for 1936 firing pin..need one of these as well. Ron
